Rosa M. Crujeiras Casais

Rosa M. Crujeiras (Riberia, 1978) is affiliated researcher of ITMATI and Associate Professor at the Department of Statistic and Operations Research (USC). She obtainend her PhD in Mathematics in January 2007, with a thesis entitled “Contributions to Spatial Spectral Statistics” (supervised by Prof. Wenceslao González (USC) and Rubén Fernández Casal (UDC). She has been a post-doc researcher at the Institute de Statistique, Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). Since January 2008, she is a professor at the Department of Statistics an Operations Research (USC). Since October 2010 until January 2013, she was the secretary of the Institut of Mathematics at the USC, and since June 2013 until January 2015 she was the vice-dean of the Faculty of Mathematics. Since January 2015, she is deputy of the Vice-rectorship for Communication and Coordination at USC.


Mª Pilar Salgado Rodríguez

Assistant Profesor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the USC


Assistant professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the Universidade de  Santiago de Compostela and member of the research group in Mathematical Engineering (mat+i). She has participated in several projects and technology transfer contracts related with the numerical simulation of industrial problems in the field of induction heating and electrical machines. Her scientific activity has produced several publications at the JCR covering research on mathematical and numerical analysis of low-frequency electromagnetic problems and multiphysics simulation.

Julio González Díaz

Julio Gonzalez Diaz (Lugo, 1978) is affiliated researcher of ITMATI and Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics and Operations Research (USC). Graduated by USC in 2001, he also obtained  his doctorate at USC in 2005, specializing in game theory. He has been a post-doc researcher at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and at the University of Northwestern under the Juan de la Cierva, Fulbright and Marie Curie programs. In 2009 he returned to USC under the Ramón y Cajal program and since that year he began working actively in the field of mathematical programming, mainly linked to problems in the field of technology transfer to different companies at Galician and national levels.


Juan José Salazar González

Professor of Statistics and Operations Research  University of La Laguna (Tenerife)


He holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Bologna (Italy), 1992. According to SCOPUS he have published 92 papers, 21 as an index h. The articles are published in scientific journals such as Mathematical Programming, Operations Research, EJOR, Computers & Operations Research, Network, trasnportation Science, Discrete Applied Mathematics, ... He works on the design of mathematical models and implementation of algorithms for facing difficult problems of combinatorial optimization mainly related to logistics, vehicle routing, scheduling, location, telecommunication, etc. He has been and is a researcher responsible for various European, national and regional projects and contracts with companies.
