Initiated in Oxford in 1968, Study Groups with Industry provide a forum
for industrial scientists to work alongside academic mathematicians on
problems of direct industrial relevance. They are an internationally
recognized method of technology and knowledge transfer between academic
mathematicians and industry, usually lasting one week.

The 108 ESGI is organized in Andalucía and it will be held in collaboration between the Universities of Sevilla, Málaga and Almería and the Spanish Network for Mathematics & Industry (math-in). It is also funded by the Mathematics Institute of the University of Sevilla (IMUS), the International Campus of Excellence Andalucía TECH and the Thematic Network RTmath-in, de la Red Temática RTmath-in, granted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance within the dynamic actions "Networks of Excellence" at 2014 call.
